TRINRE Supports Women and Children Affected by Domestic Violence
TRINRE holds the position that violence against women and girls is a violation of Human Rights that is a stain on our humanity at its core. Compelled by the recent spate of violence against women in our twin island nation, we recognize that more must be done to provide support and healing to those affected by this issue.
Through the TRINRE Foundation, a donation was made to the Eternal Light Community’s Vision of Hope Home, to bolster their commendable efforts in providing refuge for survivors of domestic violence.
TRINRE is pleased to have also began its ongoing sponsorship for the growth of the agricultural initiative of the Eternal Light Community’s Goshen Home. Through active engagement in the growing of crops, this initiative is geared toward promoting self-sufficiency and healing, to create a sustainable future for those at the home. The TRINRE Foundation is therefore providing seedlings, soil, agricultural tools, and educational support.
This Christmas, many families are experiencing financial challenges brought on by, or exacerbated by the coronavirus. In light of this, our charitable donations for the season continued with the donation of several food hampers to women and families in need identified by various organizations with the objective to support survivors of domestic violence.
TRINRE is committed doing its part to break the silence and educate our wider community on domestic violence prevention and survivor support. We congratulate the many charitable organizations whose meaningful contributions have had a significant impact in the lives of many.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Christmas Season, and encourage our fellow citizens to collectively take a stand against Domestic Violence.
