Trinre expands to Guyana with Premier Insurance

On January 4th, 2021, local insurance Company TRINRE Insurance Company Limited (TRINRE) will expand its insurance operations to Guyana through its wholly-owned subsidiary Premier Insurance Co. Inc.

One of the fastest-growing independent insurers in Trinidad and Tobago, TRINRE, which has been in operation for over 45 years, has built a sterling reputation in the industry over the decades for strong leadership, financial strength, stability, and service excellence.

Premier Insurance, which received its license for a full range of general products in February 2020, will offer a comprehensive range of general insurance products and services to Guyana.

Premier will follow TRINRE’s commitment to sound corporate governance, revenue diversification, cutting edge I.T capability, employee development, and excellence in customer experience. The new company will benefit from TRINRE’s established business relationships and its experienced team of Underwriters and internationally recognized ‘A’ rated reinsurers.

This solid foundation is reinforced by Caribbean Information and Credit Ratings Services Limited (CariCRIS) rating, which was reaffirmed as CariA- (Foreign and Local Currency Ratings) on the regional rating scale and ttA- on the Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) national scale.

Premier Insurance will offer Guyana a diverse suite of packaged insurance products and specialty services such as auto, property, business, marine, energy, liability, and bonds, as well as other lines of insurance.
