Comprehensive
Covers damage to your car
Comprehensive Insurance from TRINRE gives you the coverage you need in the event of a vast range of damages that may occur to your vehicle / host of reasons that would result in the loss or damage of your vehicle including collision. This coverage is usually required by financial institutions if the vehicle is subjected to mortgage or hire purchase arrangement.
Comprehensive cover includes:
- Roadside Assistance
- Accidental collision or Overturning
- Fire and Explosion, Self-Ignition, Lightning
- Theft
- Burglary
- Windscreen cover
- Legal charges
- Clothing and personal effects
- Medical expenses and Emergency treatment
- Personal accident cover to insured
Optional benefits
Windscreen cover. Additional optional benefits available with Comprehensive cover also include flood, typhoon, hurricane, earthquake, and volcanic eruptions.
Third Party
Covers damage you cause to others
Also referred to as liability, this coverage is provided for third parties arising from the negligence of the insured.
Coverage is provided against:
- The death of or injury to any person
- Damage to their property
- Emergency treatment
- Legal Costs incurred as a result of an accident – In defending a legal action for damages, including claimant’s costs awarded against the policyholder – Legal fees for representation at any inquest or in a court of summary jurisdiction – In defending a charge of manslaughter up to prescribed limits
Third Party Fire & Theft
This cover offers the same protection as the Third Party Policy with an additional coverage for loss or damage resulting from fire or theft to the vehicle.
Coverage is provided for third parties arising from the negligence of the insured.
Coverage is provided against:

- Damage to their property
- Emergency treatment

- Completed Proposal Form
- Two (2) forms of valid photo identification
- Proof of Address * (.e.g utility bill in your name)
- Nature and place of business/occupation
- Certified Copy in your name
- Politically Exposed Person Declaration Form
- Management accounts or estimates for the last 3 years, if self employed
Note:* Documents must be no more than 3 months old
Reference Letter from your foreign banker, if you are not a citizen/resident of Trinidad and Tobago
